Fantastic Finals Night at Leigh Minors

A very enjoyable evening was held on Friday 25th April, with the Wigan League Finals taking place at Leigh Minors. In total there were 6 singles finals played with the following results:
Over 60s Veterans:
Winner: George Lennon | Runner Up: Richard Jones
Junior Singles:
Winner: Joseph Ilia | Runner Up: Nathan Collins
Over 40s Veterans:
Winner: Stuart Horn | Runner Up: Rick Beattie
Division 3 Singles:
Winner: Alfredo Alves | Runner Up: David Morris
Division 2 Singles:
Winner: Harvey Beattie | Runner Up: Sai Man Yau
Division 1 Singles:
Winner: Jake Shaw | Runner Up: Stuart Horn
Well done to everyone and special congratulations go to Joseph, Fred and David who all did LSG proud in their respective matches!
Presentations were made to all of the single and doubles finalists, with trophies also awarded to the winners and runners-up from each of the Wigan leagues.
A big thank you to everyone who helped to organise and run such a memorable evening - there really were some fantastic skills on show and the pies weren't half bad either!
Great night of TT, it's great for table tennis in the North West to have such a great venue which is well supported by the league and all LSG members. Champions Challenge next up on Friday 23rd May. Get down and support Joseph who will be playing in it, first LSG player to do so.
